Talos II runs entirely off its own solar panel — no trench, no grid connection — and carries a PTZ AI camera with an on-board edge computer that turns what it sees into traffic counts, movement patterns and alerts.

Four modules.
Talos II is a modular assembly, not a fixed product. Every unit shares the same slim pole and mounting beam; the payload above it is specified per project. Select a module in the viewer to isolate it.
400 W photovoltaic panel & battery
A tilted monocrystalline panel charges an integrated LiFePO₄ pack sized to carry the light, the camera and the edge computer through the night and a run of overcast days. The pole is fully independent of the grid.
Module 02 — VisionPTZ AI CCTV camera
An 8 MP pan-tilt-zoom dome with DarkFighter low-light imaging and 120 dB WDR, so plates and faces survive headlight glare and deep shadow. Deep-learning classification separates people from vehicles on the sensor feed.
Module 03 — ComputeOn-board AI edge box
Inference runs on the pole. Video is analysed where it is captured, so the link carries counts, tracks and events instead of a continuous video stream — lower bandwidth, lower latency, and far less personal data in transit.
Module 04 — Connectivity4G IoT gateway & lighting control
A 4G gateway backhauls events to the iNET platform, while the lighting control unit joins a self-healing mesh with neighbouring poles — up to 1000 nodes across 2000 m without any additional infrastructure.
Lights the street
on its own power.
E-Lite began as a solar streetlight manufacturer, and Talos II keeps that foundation. The entire pole — light, camera, radio and AI — is powered by the panel above it. Deployment does not wait for a grid connection or a trench.
No trench, no cable run
Civil works are the dominant cost and the dominant delay in street lighting. An off-grid pole removes both, which makes retrofit corridors, perimeter roads, parks and industrial sites viable at a fraction of the programme cost.
130 lm/W, Philips Lumileds
A 40 W LED module delivering 5200 lm through a street-optic lens, on a NEMA 7-pin socket so the control node — and the dimming profile it runs — can be changed without touching the fixture.
Adaptive dimming
Output follows a schedule, an astronomical clock, or the camera itself: hold a low baseline on an empty street and lift to full output when the pole detects an approaching vehicle or pedestrian. Energy saved extends autonomy.

A conventional CCTV pole produces video that someone has to watch. Talos II produces structured data: how many vehicles, in which direction, at what speed; how many people, where they gathered, how long they stayed.
Vehicle counting & classification
Per-lane counts by class, direction and dwell — feeding signal timing, congestion models and road-use reporting without a single inductive loop.
Pedestrian flow & dwell
Footfall across a line or zone, queue build-up and dwell time — the evidence base for crossing placement, lighting levels and public-space planning.
Watchlist recognition
Face capture matched against an authorised watchlist held by the operating authority, with an alert to the control room on a confirmed match.
Event & anomaly detection
Stopped vehicle, wrong-way movement, perimeter intrusion, loitering and crowd density thresholds — raised as events, not as hours of footage.
Classification and matching run on the edge box, so the backhaul carries events and counts rather than continuous video. For traffic and footfall work the pole can be configured to emit counts only, with no identifying imagery retained at all. Watchlist recognition is a regulated capability — it is supplied enabled only where the operating authority holds the legal basis for it, and E-Lite recommends deploying it with retention limits, audit logging and access control agreed before commissioning.
Every pole
is a node.
One Talos II is a smart streetlight. A corridor of them is an instrument for the street — each pole carrying its own uplink and a mesh link to its neighbours.
4G IoT gateway
Events, counts, health telemetry and on-demand video clips travel over cellular. No fixed line to the pole, matching the off-grid power design.
Self-healing LCU mesh
The lighting control unit meshes on IEEE 802.15.4 / 433 / 868 / 915 MHz — up to 1000 nodes over 2000 m, re-routing automatically around a failed node.
Open interfaces
The camera speaks ONVIF Profile S/G/T, ISAPI and a documented SDK, so the pole drops into an existing VMS or city platform rather than demanding its own.
